Principal's Message

Dear Families,
We are now in Week 5 of the term, while it has been a busy first half of Term 3 there is plenty more excitement in the next half of the term!
Last week, our teachers took part in the first round of Quality Teaching Rounds. This is a professional learning program run with the University of Newcastle as part of our school's Thriving Schools 3 year partnership. It gives our teachers a chance to work together, watch each other teach, and learn new ways to help our students learn better. We will have more of these sessions later this term and in Term 4.
Thank you so much to everyone who came along to our Book Week Parade this week. It was fantastic to see the students’ amazing costumes and their love for reading. I also want to thank the P&C for kindly donating and selling the baked goodies during the event. The money raised from the bake sale will go towards buying new books for our school library, which is wonderful for our students.
This week, many parents took the time to meet with teachers during Parent-Teacher Interviews. It was great to see such strong engagement as families and teachers came together to discuss student progress and learning goals. These conversations play an important role in supporting our students’ success. If you were not able to make the scheduled times please contact the office to make a follow up appointment with your child's classroom teacher.
It has been great to meet some of our new Kindergarten students and their families during enrolment meetings this week. These meetings will continue next week and help us get ready for their transition of students to school in November. If you haven’t enrolled your child for Kindergarten next year yet, please get in touch with the school office so we can assist you with this.
Lastly, congratulations to Grace and Jasmine for participating in the Premier’s Spelling Bee regional finals this week and also to Alice who represented Goulburn Public School in the QUOTA Public Speaking Competition. We are very proud of their hard work and congratulate them on their achievement.
Thank you again for your support.
Together, we are making our school a wonderful place for learning.
Warm regards,
Steve
