BOOK WEEK IS ALMOST HERE!

Not long until we celebrate Book Week so time to start planning creative Book Parade costumes! See our 'Book Week' page in this newsletter for further details and all the latest news on our upcoming Book Week celebrations.  

THE BOOK FAIR IS COMING NEXT WEEK!!!

Book Week is nearly here as is the much loved "Book Fair".  It will arrive next Wednesday 20th August and be here until the following Tuesday 26th August.  Open each day before school from 8.30am-9am and after school from 3.30pm-4pm.  Come along and support our school whilst getting your hands on the best new children’s books!  

CHESS MATES 

Chess is back at BHNPS!  Chessmates is bringing a new, exciting program to either Tuesday lunches or Thursday after school. Further information, including cost and booking, can be found using the links below or the QR on the flyer.

PREMIER'S READING CHALLENGE

Our students are making fantastic progress in the Premier's Reading Challenge! Well done to the families who have kept up to date with holiday reading. With a goal of 30 books per student (Prep-2) and 15 books per student (Years 3-6) throughout the challenge, several students have been kicking goals and providing many books to their class tally. Now with 4 weeks to go, our current class tallies are shown in this graph. 1/2A are still out in the lead for the Junior Hub, just ticking over 300 books as a class! 5/6B are leading the 3-6 competition with an impressive 217 books. Keep it up!
