7.30 report ft. Lilly Pilly 2

You may have seen our school featured on ABC’s 7.30 Report on Wednesday evening, alongside other schools using EduChat (Department of Education's AI program) to support student learning. A big thank you to Ms McLoughlin and her class for sharing their learning so beautifully and giving a glimpse into what makes Chatswood Public such a special place.

The story highlighted something we strongly believe, that while technology can enhance how we teach and learn, it will never replace the most important part of our work: the relationships we build with our students. EduChat is just one of the many tools we use thoughtfully and purposefully to support learning.

I'm so proud of the way our staff are using innovation and care to create engaging and supportive learning environments every day. You can watch the segment here: https://iview.abc.net.au/show/7-30?utm_content=link&utm_medium=content_shared

Performing Arts Showcase

We are so looking forward to the Performing Arts Showcase on Wednesday 27 August at 6:00pm at The Concourse, Chatswood. Our Years 3–6 Choirs, Instrument Ensembles, and Jazz, Lyrical, and Freestyle Dance groups have been working incredibly hard, and it promises to be a fantastic evening celebrating their talent, creativity and teamwork.

Even if your child isn’t performing, we warmly encourage you to come along. For our younger students and their families, it’s a wonderful chance to see what’s possible and get a glimpse into the many opportunities available through our extra-curricular programs.

Activities like learning an instrument or being part of a performance group not only support learning, but also build confidence, discipline and a strong sense of connection.

All members of the community are welcome. The maximum order restriction has been removed for show tickets, additional tickets can be purchased here:

We hope to see you there for what is sure to be a memorable night.

Book Week

Next week is Book Week, a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the joy of reading and the important role it plays in learning and life. Regular reading not only builds vocabulary and comprehension, but also supports imagination, focus and wellbeing. Just as importantly, it can bring a lot of enjoyment.

Throughout the week, we’ll be welcoming a number of visiting authors to speak with students about their writing and to inspire a love of storytelling. It’s a great reminder to build reading into a healthy daily habit. Find something that sparks your interest and make time to read, whether it’s a book, comic, magazine or article. There’s something out there for everyone.

School Tours

School Tours provide families with an opportunity to see the school in action and hear about the wide range of opportunities available to our students.
