Recycling Bins

Students have been learning about Waste and Recycling this term. Did you know that all residents of Melbourne are entitled to a recycling bin?

If you live in a house you are entitled to a kerbside recycling bin. If you live in an apartment, depending on the size of your apartment building you may have chutes for general waste and recycling (leading to bins in the basement) or a designated bin room. Ask your building manager or owners corporation where your bins are located and to find out your bin collection day.

Practising recycling with students at home can support them with our current Environmental Education topic, as well as reduce the amount of waste going to landfill!
