Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers for our Term 4 excursion to the Botanic Gardens on 26th November. This is a full day excursion. If you are interested in volunteering and available please email your child's classroom teacher.
Year 1
Reminders:
Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers for our Term 4 In-Visit called Simple Machines. Students will be building their own wooden cars. The In-Visit will take place on Tuesday the 28th of October from 9:00am-3:00pm. Further information can be found on Compass. If you are interested in volunteering and available please email Miss Nadeeka on nadeeka.pussalle@smps.vic.edu.au with your availability times (e.g. all day or 9am-1pm) and child's name.
Year 2
Reminders:
Homework
It has been lovely to see so many faces on our Mathseeds posters this week. This means that your child is applying their learning from school. Thank you for your support in instilling a strong homework routine for your child.
The expectation is 1 lesson of Mathseeds completed a week (Sunday - Saturday). Please remember that Sunday starts the new week.
The other homework expectation is reading 4 nights for 15 minutes. This is to be written in your child's diary and signed. Diaries should come to school every day.
Devices
Our Year 2 students really enjoy engaging with our programs (Maths Invaders and Reading Eggspress just to name a few). When your child forgets their iPad or it is on a low percentage/flat, this restricts their engagement. Thank you for your continued support in creating a home routine with your child which involves charging their iPad and placing it in their bag.

Camp is quickly approaching! The students are looking forward to their adventure together. A camp packing list was sent home last week. We suggest you start going through this list to make sure your child has everything they need before the day.
Year 4

By the end of Week 7, students should have be about 85% of their target. Please check in with your child to see how they are tracking.

Cereal and Shoe Boxes
Thank you to families who have already begun collecting and sending in shoeboxes and cereal boxes for our upcoming projects in Science and Humanities. Please continue to send in shoeboxes, cereal boxes any other boxes that are roughly A4 size.
