The Smile Squad free school dental program is coming to Warrandyte Primary School
Dear Warrandyte Primary School families,
The Smile Squad team from Each are coming to our school form Monday 1st June 2026.
Smile Squad is the Victorian Government free school dental program.
This means ALL students can get a free dental check-up, preventive services, and treatment at school.
How to access free dental care
We need your consent before we can provide services. Consent is usually provided by a parent or guardian.
Sign up to Smile Squad at: https://bit.ly/smilesquadvic
OR use the below QR code:
Paper copies of the consent form are available. Please contact the school office if you would like to request one.
The electronic consent form can be translated into more than 100 languages, and the paper form is currently available in 30 languages.
Smile Squad oral health packs
All children deserve a healthy smile, and the Smile Squad free school dental program is working hard to help make sure this happens.
Your child(ren) will soon receive a free oral health pack to bring home. The pack contains a toothbrush, full sized toothpaste, and an oral health brochure. Please take the time to read the brochure. It’s full of helpful hints and tips to help your whole family eat well, drink well and clean well – for life.
Standard strength toothpaste
Smile Squad provides standard strength fluoride toothpaste that is generally used by ages six and over, unless recommended by a dental or trained health professional.
If your child is under six, please talk to a dental or trained health professional to find out if your child might benefit from using this toothpaste. You can also choose to put the toothpaste away until they turn six or give it to someone else in your family to use.
Do I need to attend my child’s appointment?
No, you do not need to attend your child’s appointment. You can attend if you would like to, and you can take your child to the community dental clinic if you prefer.
The Each Smile Squad look forward to seeing you soon.
Please feel free to give us a call. You can reach our Smile Squad admin team on 9757 6209 or email Smile.Squad@each.com.au

Child safety and wellbeing at Warrandyte Primary School: information for families and the school community
The Victorian Government has announced new Child Safe Standards to further strengthen child safety across organisations, including schools. The new standards recognise the critical importance of families and the broader school community in maintaining and promoting child safety and wellbeing.
Warrandyte Primary School has reviewed and updated our child safety policies and procedures to ensure they meet the requirements of the new standards. These are available to view via our website, and at the school’s front office.
We are committed to continuous improvement in our approach to child safety and wellbeing and welcome feedback from families and members of our school community on ways we can further strengthen our child safety policies, procedures and practices.
If you have any suggestions, comments or questions, please contact Warrandyte Primary School at warrandyte.ps@education.vic.gov.au or by phone on (03)9844 3537.
School Parking/Drop Off
Parents are not permitted to use the school’s main Forbes Street entrance as a drop off (including kiss 'n' drop) or pick up point between 8.20am and 9.30am, and between 3pm and 4.10pm. This area is used in those times for bus and staff access only.
Brackenbury Street is a ONE WAY street during the hours of 8am to 9.15am, and 3pm to 4pm on school days. This means that to pick-up or drop-off children at the school, drivers must proceed up Anderson Street to enter Brackenbury Street.
MORNING PARKING:
· The south side (school side) of Brackenbury Street is for drop off only. No parking is permitted.
· The north side is for 90 degree angle reverse parking only for those parents who wish to leave their vehicle.
AFTERNOON PARKING:
· Reverse angle parking is permitted on both sides of Brackenbury Street in the afternoon.
Security Cameras
As part of our Bushfire management process, we have installed a limited number of cameras around the buildings and grounds for us to be able to ensure there are no visitors or people outside during an evacuation or relocation to another school. The Department of Education has given permission for these cameras to be installed and are funded via management bushfire funds within the Victorian Schools Building Authority within the Department of Education. Footage will be stored for 31 days at which time we can delete it. No staff will have access to the footage, except via a member of the leadership team.
Ex WPS OSHC Co-Ordinator, Coralie has set up a parent book library with a small collection of her many books. You will find the library in the main office and you are welcome to borrow a book (complete the log with your details) and return (within a month please). Please care for borrowed books as if they belong to you.
Happy Reading
