Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

 Good afternoon families,

Thank you to the parents who helped with the Little Long Walk and to Mrs Traynor for organising the event for St Louis' school community.

The day started with a service in the hall lead by our F.I.R.E Carriers and Mrs Traynor.

The art work and timeline was beautiful and a great way to pay homage to our First Nations people. Thank you to Miss Laura for helping the students to produce this work.

The Welcome to Country ceremony by Uncle Josh, was informative and  very spiritual. We concluded with The Little Long Walk and the Mayor of Kingston Council, Councillor Hadi Saab, eight St Bede's students and staff, two representatives from The Long Walk, joined with the school for the walk. Thank you to everyone involved for making this an annual event.

School Choir

We have been chosen as one of the 18 schools in Victoria to go into Round 2 of the MIF 24-Zecchino d'Oro.  Zecchino d' Oro is a competition for primary school choirs where Italian is taught in the school. We have been given a song to learn and then must video our choir and send it to a panel of judges. 10 choirs will then be chosen to compete at the Royal Exhibition Building Carlton in October. I will keep you posted on our progress.

Prep 2025 enrolment

We have another prep 2025 tour on Thursday at 2.30pm and the last one on Sunday 16 June at 10.30 am. If you know anyone who may be interested in enrolling their child at St Louis then please mention these tours.

Lightning Premiership

On Friday 14 June the Year 6 students will be competing inDistrict Lightning premiership. I wish them all the very best and know they will represent themselves and St Louis well.

I am having a cataract operation on Tuesday so will not be at school for the week but will be contactable via email.

Enjoy your long weekend
