Student Giving Day - plain clothes and gold coin donation
Wednesday 26 June
On Wednesday 26 June, all students from Kindergarten to Year 12 are invited to participate in a plain clothes day to support the School’s annual giving program, Friends Together. This year we are raising funds for our needs-based scholarship, The Friends’ Fellowship, which since 2018 has enabled six students, without means, to access a Friends’ education. Money raised this year will enable a new student to start in 2025. Please remember a gold coin donation. Together, we can all make a difference.

The 2024 Service Quiz Night
Saturday 29 June at The Farrall Centre | 6.30pm for 7pm start
The Senior Stewardship Committee and Staff Service Coordinators warmly invite you to the 2024 Service Quiz Night.
The night will include the special guest quiz master John Xintalevonis, a selection of food throughout the evening, drinks to purchase, captivating questions, high class entertainment and an assortment of irresistible items to win or bid for.
All proceeds will be donated to Friends of Refugee Communities Tasmania (FORCT). So, why not come along and make a difference, all whilst enjoying a spectacular night? Gather some friends and make up a table.

Uniform Shop Holiday Trading Hours
The Friends' School Uniform Shop will close for the school holidays on Thursday 4 July at 5.00pm and reopen for Term 3on Monday 22 July at 9.00am.
There will be extended trading hours on Monday 22 July, 8.00am – 1.00pm
The Uniform Shop will resume normal hours on Tuesday 23 July at 8.00am.

Quaker Meetings for Worship
All members of The Friends’ School community are welcome to attend our Meeting for Worship any Sunday from 10am, closing about 11am, with morning tea available afterwards.
Children are always welcome and there is a Children’s Meeting held concurrently with the Meeting for Worship. They learn about Quaker values through a range of interesting and fun activities. Around 10.50am the children join the Meeting for Worship, settling into the gathered Meeting for the last 10 minutes, usually sitting with their parents.

Thursday Morning Meeting for Worship
Members of The Friends' School community are welcome to attend a short Meeting for Worship held each Thursday morning during term time, starting at 7.45am. Just come quietly in when you can and join us until 8.20am in the Hobart Quaker Meeting House, which is located just below the Middle School office on Boa Vista Road.
