2025 Course Information & Subject Expo Evening
All students currently in years 8 to 10 are invited to the 2025 Course Selection Information and Subject Expo evening. The event will take place at 6pm on Tuesday 30 July here at the college.
Further to the evening event there are several other key dates and activities as part of the 2025 Course Selection Process. Outlined below are each of these for each year level group:
Current Year 8 – 2025 Year 9s
22 July | Course Handbooks and supporting forms and planning tools will go live on the college website. |
30 July | Attend Subject Expo to consider elective options. Please note that there isn’t a specific presentation for this year group but that this is an excellent opportunity to explore subjects and speak with teachers about what is available in our year 9 program. |
7 August | Students will participate in a presentation about Year 9 electives during their Connect class. Families will be emailed the instructions, link and individual code to submit elective preferences through our online system EDVAL. |
14 August | Final day to submit subject preferences on EDVAL. Due by 9pm. |
Current Year 9 – 2025 Year 10s
22 July | Course Handbooks and supporting forms and planning tools will go live on the college website. In addition, online booking for course advisor appointments open via Xuno. You will be able to book a 15-minute appointment between 11am and 6pm on 7 August. When you book the appointment, you will see advisor 1-6 available, please select just one appointment at a time which suits you. |
30 July | Attend Subject Expo to consider elective options. Please note the specific presentation for Year 10 2025 will take place at 7pm in the Barcham Theatre. Current Year 9s can access the Course Expo in the Year 7 Learning Centre (B Block) from 6pm to 7pm. Please make sure you give yourselves plenty of time to explore the Expo. |
7 August | Families and students to attend their Course Advisor Appointment at the College. Please note there will be NO classes for Year 9 on this day. At the end of this day families will be emailed the instructions, link and individual code to submit elective preferences through our online system EDVAL. |
9 August | All application forms for VET and Acceleration due to the Senior School Office. |
11 August | Final day to submit subject preferences on EDVAL. Due by 9pm. |
Current Year 10 – 2025 Year 11s
22 July | Course Handbooks and supporting forms and planning tools will go live on the college website. In addition, online booking for course advisor appointments open via Xuno. You will be able to book a 15-minute appointment between 11am and 6pm on 31 July. When you book the appointment, you will see advisor 1-6 available, please select just one appointment at a time which suits you. |
30 July | Attend Subject Expo to consider elective options. Please note the specific presentation for Year 11 2025 will take place at 6pm in the Barcham Theatre. Current Year 10s can access the Course Expo in the Year 7 Learning Centre (B Block) from 7pm to 8pm. Please make sure you give yourselves plenty of time to explore the Expo. It is essential to note that students going into Year 11 must make some big decisions about the course they select and that there have been several changes to the Senior School Certificates available. Families are strongly encouraged to attend this event to ensure that they are making informed decisions about their young persons’ final years of schooling. |
