Welcome Back to Term 3! 

We hope you had an enjoyable break and we have enjoyed hearing about everyone's adventures from the holidays! 

Next Tuesday 23rd July we are lucky to have KABOOM! Sports returning, 

so please ensure students are wearing their Sports Uniform.

Social Emotional Learning

This term our focus for Social Emotional Learning is Emotional Literacy.

Our activities will assist students to recognise and identify their own emotions, describe situations that may evoke these emotions and compare their emotional responses with those of their peers. Our activity this week was an Emotional Statues game.  The photos demonstrate students freezing in different emotions, can you pick the emotion they are demonstrating? We then discussed the body language that we noticed for each emotion and when we might feel these emotions. We look forward to more activities across the term, to assist students in developing their emotional literacy.

Life Ed Incursion

We were also very lucky this week to have a visit by Alisha, from Life Education Victoria. She brought along her special friend, Harold, and got us thinking about the ways we can work on growing good friendships. 

We talked about what a good friend does, as well as ways to keep our friendships strong. We also talked about people who are special to us and practised giving compliments to others.
