TERM 3 LIBRARY MONITORS

We would like to announce our Term 3 Library Monitors for 2025, congratulations to Jaxon R, Chase B, and Dean D (3/4).

We look forward to working together with these students this term.

This program is facilitated by library staff and gives students from Year 3 to Year 12 an opportunity at an extracurricular leadership role within the college. Library Monitors are responsible for a range of roles within the library space, including shelving books, keeping the space tidy, assisting with displays, brainstorming new programs with staff, and so much more.

MONTHLY AUTHOR FOCUS

Each month, the college library will highlight a significant author for students to explore.

August will feature Morris Gleitzman as our chosen Author.

The British-Australian author writes for young people, and is most known for the Once series. During library time, students can explore his vast stories across genres and some of the topics he writes about.

SHORT STORY COMPETITION

The College Resource Library is running a Book Week Short Story competition!

Open to students from Prep to Year 12. Students are asked to write a short story with the theme “adventure begins with the turn of a page”

The competition winner will have their piece displayed at the library Expo Stalls during Booktacular Book Week from Monday 25 August to Friday 29 August.
