Future You Day

Exploring Future Potential at Future You Day!
What a fantastic day we had on Thursday 4 July as our Year 5–8 students stepped into their futures at the very first Future You Day!
We kicked things off with a bang – and a beat! – at our high-energy Careers Fair, where students connected with a wide range of local employers, businesses, and education providers. From hands-on trades to high-tech pathways, students got a real taste of what their futures might hold. And keeping the energy high? None other than the Kyabram P-12 Rock Band, with Lachie, Xander, and Declan bringing the vibe!
After recess, students dove into a smorgasbord of interactive workshops designed to help them discover their skills, passions, and possibilities. From sewing to self-defence, cooking to car maintenance, art, yoga, budgeting, and beyond – there was something for every future you!
Lunch was a full-blown festival, with Subway for all, yard games, face painting, and another rockin’ set from the band to close the day on a high.
Huge thanks to the amazing businesses, organisations, staff, and senior students who made the day such a success – whether you were sharing skills, performing, mentoring, or painting faces, you helped create an unforgettable experience.
Looking ahead to 2026…
We’re already dreaming bigger for Future You Day 2026 – and we want YOU to be part of it!
Are you a local business, tradie, creative, health worker, or entrepreneur? Do you have a story, skill, or experience you’d love to share with young people?
We’re looking for workshop leaders, guest speakers, career fair presenters, and behind-the-scenes hosts to help our students imagine what’s possible.
Get in touch if you’d like to be part of shaping the future of our young people – we’d love to have you on board!
