NDIS Navigator

 Katie Coller

Hello everyone!

I thought it would be a good idea to use a little of this space to introduce myself.

My name is Katie, and I am the new NDIS Navigator here at Croydon SDS.

I have been working with Libby all of last term, preparing to take on this role when she retired at the end of the term, and am very excited to be working with all of you!

You may recognise me from my previous work as Mental Health Practitioner, helping with the roll out of Zones of Regulation across the school.

Whilst I still have lots to learn about the NDIS, I am dedicated to making sense of it's processes and quirks, and being available to you to provide support in figuring it out also.

I can help you to:

  • understand the NDIS
  • apply for and access NDIS funded supports for your child
  • understand your child’s NDIS plan and how it can be used to meet their goals
  • find out where to go to help or raise issues about your child’s plan

Please see the attached fact sheet to find out more about the NDIS Navigator service.

I am at school on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and you’ll find me in the family support office in the new office building.

If you would like to have a chat, please email me: katherine.coller@education.vic.gov.au

Some short updates regarding the NDIS:

  • If you have a child who is in the last few years of school or may be graduating this year, please consider attending one of the online workshops held by the NDIA about this process. You can find tickets and information here: Understanding the NDIS Webinar Series: Pathway to post school life
  • As of June 30th, the Intensive Support Program from the DFFH supporting with complex or multiple service needs has closed. If you had been involved with them, or feel they may have been helpful for you, there is a list of disability advocacy organisations that can assist with any questions about the closure of this program, you can find them here: disability advocacy organisations
