Dear Families,
Welcome Back
Welcome back to Term 3. I hope the break provided a chance for students and families to rest and reset after a full first semester.
This will be a shorter 9-week term, but there’s still plenty ahead—both in the classroom and across school life. Our focus remains on learning progress, supporting student wellbeing, and maintaining strong routines.
I know the staff have returned ready to get started, and we’re looking forward to a term that is purposeful and productive.
We’ll keep you updated on what’s coming up throughout the term, and we always welcome contact from families as needed.
Weathering the Cold Weather
With winter well and truly here, we encourage families to ensure students are coming to school dressed for the conditions. Warm layers, including school jumpers, jackets, and beanies, help students stay comfortable and focused throughout the day.
Please also take a moment to clearly label all uniform items with your child’s name. This makes it much easier for misplaced clothing to be returned and reduces the number of items left in lost property.
Thanks for your support in helping students stay warm, dry, and ready to learn.
2026 Foundation Enrolments
Tomorrow, Friday 25th is the last day for 2026 prep enrolments. If you know of anyone who is yet to submit their applications we would encourage this to be done before tomorrow’s cut off.
Seaside Fair 2026
Excitement is building for our upcoming Seaside Fair, and preparations are well underway. You may have spotted our colourful promotional boards popping up around the area — a big thank you to those helping spread the word.
We’re also thrilled to acknowledge and thank our Platinum Sponsor, Jellis Craig Williamstown, for their generous support of this year’s event. Their contribution is helping us take the Fair to the next level and will directly support our school grounds redevelopment project — improving outdoor spaces for all students.
The Fair is a major school and community celebration, and we’re currently calling for parent volunteers to help make the day a success. Whether it’s lending a hand at a stall, helping set up, or supporting behind the scenes, every bit counts.
If you’re able to assist, please get in touch with the office or look out for the volunteer sign-up form coming home shortly.
We can’t wait to come together for a fantastic day — made even better with the support of our community and sponsors like Jellis Craig Williamstown.
Building Works Update
Conditioning Maintenance
The VSBA are currently finalising the tender process for conditioning maintenance works on all 3 of our major classroom buildings. The works that involve roofing, windows and architectural feature repair and restorations is a major large-scale project that will have a significant positive impact on the conditions and usability of our buildings, especially our beautiful heritage bluestone and redbrick heritage buildings.
Capital Grants Project - Redbrick Bathrooms
All things are on track for the restoration of our redbrick bathrooms, which has been made possible through the Capital Works Grants program. We have received early schematics which are now in the process of being further developed for the purpose of going to tender. This process is fully managed by the Victorian School Building Authority. We look forward to providing further updates.
Warm regards,
Mat
