Snowy Valleys Cycle Challenge Art & Film Competitions

Calling All Young Artists and Filmmakers!

The Snowy Valleys Cycle Challenge is coming to Tumut and Adelong on 26–27 September 2026, and this year students can be part of the action — no bike required!

Two new competitions are open for entries, both with the theme "Life on Two Wheels":

Art Competition – Create an artwork inspired by cycling, adventure, community or the beautiful Snowy Valleys. Any medium welcome, from painting and drawing to sculpture and recycled art. Entries will be exhibited at the Adelong Showgrounds across the festival weekend.

Short Film Competition – Tell a story in up to 80 seconds, filmed on a smartphone or similar device. Selected films will hit the big screen at the historic Montreal Theatre in Tumut on Saturday 26 September.

Both competitions include a Primary School (K–6) category, with a $75 first prize and Highly Commended awards up for grabs.
