Meet Our Staff
Our staff at Birranga College are the very heart of everything we do at the college. From teaching and learning to wellbeing and admin support services, every member of our team contributes to creating a safe, welcoming and engaging environment for our students and community.
Justine Higgins
Justine is part of the Administration Team at Birranga College. She loves getting to know each student and enjoys the variety that every day brings, never knowing who will walk through the office door. Inspired by the opportunity to support students and see their growth, Justine also enjoys the unique perspective the front office provides on how the school operates. Outside of school, she loves crafting, cooking, and attending live music and comedy shows. Justine dreams of travelling through Vietnam one day and her favourite movies are Forrest Gump and Pretty Woman.
Alex Adamopoulos
Alexis the IT Manager at Birranga College, where he enjoys the positive energy students bring each day and loves helping them with everything from technical issues to conversations about computers as a hobby. His goal this year is to help build a strong and lasting technology foundation for the school. Outside of work, he enjoys gaming, spending time with friends, and supporting the Essendon Bombers. A former Taekwondo black belt, Alex hopes to one day explore more of the ancient wonders of the world.
Jasmine Beach
Jasmine makes up the other part of our Administration and First Aid team at Birranga College, where she loves building relationships with students and families. Inspired by a passion for helping children grow and feel valued, Jasmine enjoys being someone students can trust. Outside of school, she is a busy "boy mum" that goes to Okami every second Sunday. Jasmine dreams of visiting Disneyland one day as she is a passionate Disney fan that can quote most movies by heart. She's a proud Collingwood supporter and enjoys reading Disney Twisted Tales while listening to her favourite music.
Fiona Fairchild
Miss Fairchild teaches English and Humanities at Birranga College. She loves the curiosity and enthusiasm our students bring to learning and is passionate about helping them develop the critical thinking skills they need to become informed, confident citizens. Inspired by her own secondary school teachers, Miss Fairchild enjoys making a positive impact on the lives of young people. Outside of school, she loves gardening, reading, and taking her dogs on adventures. One day, she hopes to see the Northern Lights.
