100 Days Of Birranga College

Birranga College’s 100 Day Celebration was a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate the hard work, dedication and achievements of both our students and staff. What an amazing 100 days it has been since welcoming our wonderful cohort of year 7 students. We have already achieved so much, including officially opening our College, inaugurating our first ever school captains, bringing home our first ever interschool sport flag and completing 2 Connection Days!
It was fantastic to see so many students embrace the occasion by dressing up as their future careers, showcasing their aspirations and dreams for the future. Our teachers also joined in the fun, dressing up as what they could have been, which created plenty of laughs and memorable moments throughout the day, special shout out to Mr J the pilot/Maverick.

It was a fantastic celebration of our school community and the incredible journey we have shared over the past 100 days.
Reaching 100 days of Year 7 was a special milestone for everyone and a chance to celebrate how far we have come. One of my favourite moments of the day was seeing everyone dress up as their future careers. It was amazing to see the creativity in everyone’s outfits and realise that every person has their own interests, dreams and ideas for the future. Taking photos with the balloons was another memorable part of the celebration. It was wonderful seeing everyone enjoying the day together and creating memories with their friends. The day was very special for me because I received my award for coming second in the story-writing competition. I felt proud to have my writing recognised, and it made the celebration even more meaningful. Overall, the day proved to me that everyone is different and unique, and that is something worth celebrating. If I had to describe our 100 days in three words, they would be achievement, growth and togetherness. It is hard to believe how quickly the time has passed, and I’m excited to see what the next 100 days brings!

On the 5th of August students got the chance to dress up as their future job preferences and staff got to dress up as themselves from high school or a different career. This gave many students a chance to experience and view themselves as there future dream jobs. This also gave students a chance to express their passion for learning and hopes of successfully getting into their dream job. I was dressed as an Artist because I want to be able to express emotions and feelings through art. I want to connect to people not just through art but also the meanings behind the art. Overall, this day was about expressing your hopes and dreams through dressing up, the jobs didn't have to be ones that are hard to get into, they just had to portray and reflect your dreams and that is what our 100 days of school celebration was about, to be able to dress up as those you want to become and the future you have set your goals for.
