Parent and staff Sustainability group

In July we had our first Wales Street Community Sustainability group meeting. On the agenda was an initiative that is being organised by Melissa Walsh to plant out the nature strips in Clyde Street to create a biodiversity corridor. Wales Street is also receiving help from Zoe and Carmen from SPAN Clyde Street Neighbourhood House and Phil from the Merri Creek Management Committee. This is an exciting project that will connect Wales Street with our community and improve biodiversity in our area. 

We are also hoping to get some ideas and actions for our school grounds such as organising a working bee and applying for Community grants.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday the 12th of August at 2pm. If you are interested in helping please meet us at the Office next Wednesday.

Plastic-free July Nude food competition

The winner of the 2026 Nude food competition is (drum roll)... 3C! Congratulations 3C for being the class with the most Nude food lunches and thank you to all of our 3C families and families across our school for supporting our competition. We averaged 290 nude food lunches every day, which is approximately 50% of all of the lunches at school and a great start that we can continue to improve upon. 

3C receives a session of sustainability-themed activities organised and run by the Sustainability Group Leaders.
