Year 11

Study Tips

As we welcome students back for Semester 2, this is a great opportunity to establish positive study habits that will support their success. Throughout the term, we will be sharing study tips to help students prepare for their end-of-year exams and their transition into Year 12. A great place to start is by creating an effective study space at home.

Creating a dedicated study area

  • Encourage students to choose a quiet, consistent space that is free from distractions. If this isn't possible at home, community study spaces such as Bunjil Place Library are a great alternative.
  • Help students create a clear distinction between where they study and where they relax. Having a dedicated study space can improve focus and productivity.
  • Encourage students to organise all of their study materials before beginning, including textbooks, notes, a charged device and charger, pens, and a water bottle.
  • Minimise distractions by encouraging students to keep their phones in another room or out of reach during study sessions and remove any unnecessary items from their workspace.
  • Support students to set clear goals before each study session by identifying the specific tasks they would like to complete.

Course Counselling

Thank you to all families who supported students through the course counselling process. Students have now completed their course counselling sessions and selected their Year 12 subjects. We appreciate the time and consideration that families and students gave to planning pathways for next year. If you have any questions regarding subject selections or future pathways, please don't hesitate to contact the Careers Team or a member of the Year 11 Leadership Team.

Year 12 Jumpers

Over the coming weeks, we will begin gathering ideas for the 2027 Year 12 jumpers. We encourage students with an interest in design and creativity to get involved in the process. If your child would like to be part of the Year 12 Jumper Committee, they are encouraged to speak with Sam McGregor in E1.
