Year 10Â
A term of growth and opportunity!

Year 10Â
A term of growth and opportunity!
On Wednesday, 22 July, our Year 10 into 11 counselling sessions ran with wonderful energy and engagement. It was fantastic to see students thinking seriously and confidently about their next steps, with a brilliant range of pathways represented across the cohort â from VCE, to Vocational Major (VM), to VET subjects. This diversity is something to celebrate as it shows our students recognise that success looks different for everyone.
Thank you to all the families who supported these conversations at home. Your encouragement makes a genuine difference as students take ownership of their learning journey.
đź Work Experience â 14 to 18 SeptemberÂ
We are thrilled to confirm that Year 10 Work Experience will take place from Monday 14 September to Friday 18 September. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to step into the real world, build valuable skills and gain insight into exciting industries and careers.
| Key Date | What's Happening | Action Needed |
|---|---|---|
| By Friday 14 August | Work Experience forms due | Return signed form to Mrs Mckeon in the Library |
| Mondays & Tuesdays (lunchtime) | Safe@Work support sessions in the Library | Attend to complete mandatory certificates |
| 14â18 September | Work Experience week | Students attend their placement |
 đĄď¸ Safe@Work Support SessionsÂ
To help every student feel prepared and confident, Safe@Work support sessions will run in the Library, at lunchtime, every Monday and Tuesday. These sessions give students dedicated time and guidance to complete the mandatory online certificates required before starting work experience. We warmly encourage all students to take advantage of this support â a little time now will make for a smooth and successful placement in September.
đď¸ Building & Construction Placements â White CardÂ
Any student hoping to complete their work experience in the building and construction industry will need a White Card before their placement begins. Students in this position should see Mrs Mckeon as soon as possible so there is plenty of time to arrange this important certification.
Year 10 is a defining year â full of big decisions, new challenges and exciting discoveries. We are so proud of how our students are embracing this stage of their journey and we thank you, as parents and carers, for the vital role you play in supporting them along the way. Together, we are helping every student build a pathway that is uniquely their own.
