Internship Update - Elliott Terrey

Our internships form a key component of the school’s Experiential Learning program. Internships are designed to make learning more meaningful by connecting Year 10 students with local industries and community organisations. The program enables students to apply their classroom learning in real-world contexts, develop workplace skills, and gain valuable insight into potential career pathways.

Over the past 15 weeks, Elliott Terrey has completed his internship at Nile St Café, where he has demonstrated outstanding enthusiasm, initiative, and a genuine passion for all aspects of the café's daily operations. From food preparation and customer service to working effectively as part of a busy team, Elliott has embraced every opportunity to learn and contribute. His positive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges have seen him grow significantly in both confidence and character.

With a strong interest in cooking and experimenting with new recipes, this internship has provided Elliott with the perfect opportunity to develop his culinary skills in a real workplace. Learning alongside experienced hospitality professionals has reinforced his passion for the industry and highlighted the value of hands-on, workplace-based learning.
