Wyvern House Moving In Day!

Wyvern House, our new boarding home for Year 7 and Year 8 boy boarders and a small number of boys from Years 9 to 12, opened this term, and we held a 'moving in day' celebration for the very first occupants on Monday, 20 July. After a speech from Mr Kelly, the ribbon was cut by Pio Sinisa (Captain of Trathen) and Tommy Leader of Year 7, followed by afternoon tea in the Wyvern common room.

The images below capture one of the most important moments in the boarding journey as students and their families arrived at Wyvern House and began settling into their new home. From unpacking belongings and making beds to exploring the facilities and meeting up with friends, the day was filled with anticipation. The photos reflect the strong partnership between families and Kinross Wolaroi School as students take the next step in their boarding experience.

Beautiful New Facilities

Featuring spacious bedrooms, modern study areas, welcoming communal spaces and high-quality amenities throughout, Wyvern House provides a comfortable home away from home. These images capture a facility that reflects Kinross Wolaroi School's ongoing commitment to providing an exceptional boarding experience for current and future generations of students.

Official Opening of Wyvern House

On Wednesday, 24 June, Kinross Wolaroi School was honoured to welcome Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, to officially open Wyvern House, our new boys' boarding house.

Due to the limited capacity of the Wolaroi and Wyvern precincts, we were unable to accommodate the wider school community at the event. However, the ceremony was recorded in full and can be viewed below.
