Year 2 Music

Year 2 students have been exploring Music of the Sky, with a focus on the much-loved nursery rhyme Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. As part of their learning, they performed the song on chimes, sang it in Noongar language from Western Australia, and then worked creatively to develop their own unique arrangements of the piece.

The students approached each activity with enthusiasm and imagination, demonstrating growing musical skills and confidence. Their creativity and effort have been most impressive, and they should be very proud of their achievements.

Year 3 Music

Last term, Year 3 students completed an exciting unit exploring music from Latin America. Throughout the unit, they learned about traditional Argentinian instruments, participated in Spanish games, and sang a variety of songs in Spanish.

A highlight of the term was learning the folk song Tingalayo, which students performed with both Spanish lyrics and accompanying instrumental parts. They demonstrated enthusiasm and growing confidence as they developed their understanding of Latin American culture and music through singing, playing, and active participation.
