Mr. Carlyle's Message

Hello Families and welcome to this week's newsletter. 

I hope everyone is gearing up for the mid year break, and any of you lucky enough to be headed to warmer climates enjoy.  As we wrap up the first semester of 2025, I want to take a moment to highlight the fantastic work of our teachers, and support staff here at Ballan.   Dedicated, supportive and committed to high expectations our team here have delivered great learner outcomes in 2025 so far. 

Parent Teacher Interviews - Friday August 1

As we look ahead to Term 3, parent-teacher interviews will be held on Friday August 1st. Parent-teacher interviews are an opportunity for students to showcase their learning from Terms 1 and 2 with the support of their teacher. On this day attendance is only required for your child’s interview. 

Booking times for the parent-teacher interviews will be available early next term. We are looking forward to seeing our parent community on the day. 

Working Bee

We are planning on holding a working bee in the later part of term 3 or early term 4 with a focus on some painting work around the school. We will sure up dates next term, but just putting it on the agenda to generate some interest early. 

Last day of Term

A reminder that our final day of term has a 2:30pm finish. Please ensure that this Friday students are collected at this earlier time. 

Is Your Child Enrolled for 2026?

If you have a child starting school next year, now is the perfect time to check that their enrolment is complete! We’re excited to launch our new Prep transition program, ‘Ballan Little Learners’, designed to help children feel confident, connected, and ready for school. This program will commence shortly and is available to all enrolled 2026 Foundation students. To ensure your child doesn't miss out on this valuable experience, please contact the school office to confirm their enrolment or to collect an enrolment pack.  Alternatively, enrolment forms can be found on our website here.
