GLOW Week
We hope you have had some excited talk in your house about the activities that your child has been doing this week for GLOW Week! It has been a pleasure to seethe different groups around the school enjoying fishing, planting, cooking and many other activities. A massive thank you to all of our volunteers from our community who have generously given of their time and gifts to make this week so memorable and meaningful for the children. Thanks to Mrs Neumann for her extensive organisation of a wonderful opportunity for our school community!
A reminder that GLOW Week will conclude with:
- Friday 27 June - whole school Closing Service and Chapel at 8.50am in the Worship Centre
- Friday 27 June - whole school Assembly for GLOW Week Presentations at 2.00pm in the Worship Centre - followed by classroom / activity visits
Eisugakkan - Homestay Families Needed
Year 5 students from Eisugakkan School, our sister school in Japan, will be visiting Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th July. During their stay, the students will have the opportunity to experience Australian culture and connect with our students. On Saturday 26th July, the school is seeking homestay families to host the visiting students, providing them with a unique and memorable experience. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to engage in cultural exchange and offer a warm welcome to these young visitors. Eisugakkan Camp
Year 5 and 6 students are invited to a joint camp at AFL Max with the students visiting from Eisugakkan. The camp will be a one night adventure from Friday 25 July to Saturday 26 July. A permission note and information has been sent home. If you would like your children to be involved, please return the consent form by Thursday 26 June.
Volunteering in the School
We appreciate many families giving of their time and expertise to volunteer in the school, whether it be with our school canteen, P & F Events, school camps, GLOW Week or classroom assistance. A reminder to please ensure that your WWCC details are up to date, along with RAHN and VSC training. Further information on our volunteering requirements is available from our website.
