The P+F is indebted to Mr James Mitchell for his outstanding support of the school community, contribution to multiple P+F events particularly several St Mary's Fiestas.  Always available to lend a hand behind the scenes, James has been a part of the fabric of St. Mary's and will be very missed by all.  We wish James all the very best with his new role and thank him for his support.

Second Hand Children's Book Sale

Last Friday we held our P & F Book Sale.

We were very appreciative to all those families who donated well over 1000 books, with a huge range of quality books for us to sell.

The book sale day was filled with excited children attending the sale, moving around and choosing their books and how to spend their money (for some, at the book sale vs canteen), choosing their bookmarks,  buying books for their friends, reading and sharing their books with friends at recess and lunch and a very popular after school sale for children and families together. 

In addition to offering a low cost, sustainable community activity, we raised approx $1300, which will be put towards literacy/library resources for the school.

Thank you to all those who contributed to the sale, by donating books, helping prepare and assisting on the day and coming along to buy books at the sale.

We hope you are all enjoying your 'new' books at home.
