Beginning of the year Literacy assessments, 2026

Literacy assessments for 2026 will take place on Wednesday 28 January.

All students in Years 1–6 are required to attend for their beginning-of-year testing.

  • Years 1–2: Families are asked to book a 20-minute assessment time via the School Interviews. Students in these year levels do not need to wear their school uniform. Parents must ensure their child is collected promptly at the end of their session. Information on how to book these assessments will be sent out to you via email on Monday 12th January along with an SMS reminder.

  • Years 3–6: Students will attend school for the full day, (beginning at 8:30 and finishing at 3:15) and are required to wear their school uniform.

Please note: Foundation students will be assessed on the following Wednesdays at the beginning of the year: Wednesday 4th, 11th and 18th February. More information regarding these testing days will be sent during the first week of term 1, 2026.

These assessments play an important role in informing our learning and teaching programs, and it is essential that all students participate.

Thank you for your support in helping us begin the year smoothly and successfully.
