Principal message

We are thrilled our new school is coming to life. Every day brings us closer to welcoming your children into an environment built on our core values of 'Belong, Believe, Become'. Construction is progressing across campus. The main Science block is taking its final form. The library and resource centre is beginning to showcase its spaces for collaboration and quiet study.

As we approach our January 2026 opening date, we are excited about the opportunities ahead of us. Our new secondary school will be more than a building. It will be a place young people discover they belong and learn to believe in their abilities. A place where they grow into the compassionate, curious, and confident leaders our community needs.

Food Truck

Currently, the school does not have a canteen. As a result, we have a partnership with ‘Tasty’, a local organisation that produce a range of fresh and hot foods that provide a food truck. Each day the ‘Tasty’ food truck will arrive at the school at about 1.30pm. They will park in the car park. Students will line up at the gate and a supervising teacher will ensure students are able to purchase food. Only cash or credit cards will be accepted. Students will not be able to pay using their phone due to the state-wide policy mobile forbidding phones to be used in schools.

Lockers

All students at Birranga College will be allocated an internal locker to securely store their belongings during the school day. Each student will be issued with a combination lock and shown how to use it confidently and safely. If a lock is lost or damaged, families will be required to purchase a replacement from the General office.
