Events Galore at the school year winds down! 

RGLPS is a hive of activity at the moment, with major events taking place across all year levels as the 2025 school year draws to a close.

This week alone, we have held the End of Year Music Concert, the 2026 Prep Information Evening, the RGLPS End of Year Celebration, and our Whole School Transition Day, where students met their 2026 classmates and teachers.

Next Monday, our Year 4 students will set off on their first school camp to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat. This three-day costume camp includes attending a gold-rush-era school and dressing in colonial attire. The experience ties in beautifully with the Year 4 history unit, 'Journeys that Shaped Australia'.

Our soon-to-graduate Year 6 students will enjoy their end-of-school celebration at Funfields Theme Park in Whittlesea on Wednesday 10th December, ahead of their formal graduation evening on Tuesday 16th December. As always, our Year 6 teachers have devoted an enormous amount of time and energy to planning a memorable graduation event that celebrates students’ achievements and marks their transition from primary school in style.

On Monday 15th December, Year 3 students will participate in their ‘Big Day Out’, as part of our RGLPS camping program. Students will travel to Lady Northcote Camp near Bacchus Marsh for a full day of activities, returning to school for dinner before being collected by families.

In addition to these major events, all year levels also have Term 4 Wellbeing, Christmas activities and class parties scheduled to round out the final weeks of school. 

Given all this, you may notice our teachers looking a bit tired at the moment. The end of the school years is a particularly busy period, with report writing, assessments, events, and planning for 2026 all happening at once. We know many parents recognise and appreciate the hard work staff put in, especially during this hectic end-of-year stretch, and we thank everyone for their ongoing support. It’s been a great year, and we look forward to finishing it on a strong and positive note.

Semester Two Reports

A reminder that Semester Two Reports will be released to parents and carers on Wednesday 17th December. Please keep an eye out for a Compass announcement indicating when these reports are available for viewing.
