Celebrating a Week of Spectacular Music and Performance at RGLPS 

What an unforgettable week it has been at Rosanna Golf Links Primary School as we celebrated two major musical events that truly showcased the talent, joy and community spirit of our students, families and staff.

On Monday evening, our Instrumental Music Concert took centre stage. Families were treated to a vibrant display of musicality featuring our Concert Bands, Superband, choirs and a range of small group ensembles. Montmorency Secondary College was filled with proud smiles as students demonstrated the skills they have worked so diligently to develop throughout the year. From polished group pieces to confident solo moments, it was a celebration of commitment, teamwork and the power of music to bring people together.

Just a few days later, on Thursday evening, our entire school community came together once again for our End of Year Concert, this time with the weather on our side. Under clear skies, every year level took to the stage with enthusiasm, singing and dancing the night away. The atmosphere was electric as families gathered to enjoy performances that were joyful, energetic and full of personality. Watching our students shine under the lights was a wonderful reminder of how expressive, capable and connected our learners are.

These events simply would not be possible without the dedication of our staff, who work tirelessly behind the scenes, on stage and even selling sausages; our parent helpers, who generously give their time to support the smooth running of the evenings; and Camp Australia, who kept everyone well fed with delicious sausages.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported and cheered on our students. Your encouragement means the world to them. We are so proud of what our young performers achieved and grateful for the community that continues to lift them up.

2026 Class Placements

Class placements for 2026 have now been finalised, and I would like to assure our community that a significant amount of thought, time and care has gone into this process. Over the past few weeks, staff and leadership have worked meticulously to create balanced, supportive and well-considered classes that will best meet the learning and wellbeing needs of every child.

When forming classes, we consider a wide range of factors, including social dynamics, student friendships, learning needs, teacher expertise and even the physical learning environment. Each decision is made with one clear intention: to give every student the best possible chance to thrive next year. This work is incredibly detailed and complex, and we appreciate the trust our families place in us.

Following today’s transition session, it is natural that a small number of students may feel disappointed if they were not placed with a particular friend or best friend. Please be reassured that every child has been placed with at least one of their nominated friendship choices. This is also a valuable opportunity to gently remind children that it is okay to feel unsure at first, and that building resilience, confidence and new connections is an important part of growing up.
