Ryan's Rambling

Dear Families,

It’s hard to believe that we are already heading into the final three weeks of the term. This time of year is always a wonderful mix of reflection and celebration, as we consider the staggering growth that our amazing students have made across the year. Classrooms are busy, students are engaged, and staff are continuing to work hard, whilst managing the incredible workload of reports.

Our transition program continues to run smoothly. Students have responded confidently to the process so far, and our staff have been working thoughtfully to trial a range of different groupings across our ‘Bus’ system. These opportunities allow us to observe student dynamics, learning needs, and wellbeing considerations in action so that we can create balanced and supportive class structures for 2026. More trial groupings will take place next week. We will announce final class placements in the week of December 9, which coincides with the statewide transition day. We appreciate your support and trust as we work through this detailed and important process.

The school Mural project is also progressing wonderfully. Each day it becomes a little more vibrant, and it has already brought so much joy to those passing by. A heartfelt thank you to the many parents and carers who took the time to come along and help paint this week. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to get involved have been truly appreciated. It has been fantastic to see our community come together and contribute to something that will brighten our grounds for years to come.

Next week marks the beginning of our Inquiry Authentic Actions, where students will put their learning into real-world contexts. This is a highlight of the term and an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge, think creatively, solve problems, and take meaningful action. Our science-focused inquiry this term has been particularly rich, and students have investigated scientific concepts, run experiments, explored cause and effect, tested hypotheses via “Predict, Observe, Explain”, and developed a strong sense of curiosity about the world around them. We look forward to seeing how they use this learning to make a positive impact.

Have a fantastic weekend

Ryan
