Learning Expo
Thank you to all the parents and families that came to our learning expo on Thursday the 12th of December, I'm sure you'll agree that the work the students displayed was amazing and great to see them applying skills they've learnt to areas of learning that they are interested in.
Indigital
Over this year 3/4 yellow was involve in the Indgital meterverse project where the students with Amanda and Hayley explored and created a 3d world using Tinkercad and Minecarft to showcase the Grassland Earless dragon. The students researched and designed their own dragon and their environment, along with learning language from the local Wathaurong language which they incorporated into their world. At the expo earlier this week the students were able to showcase their world that they had created to parents and other students.
This is just some of the feedback from the students about the project.
Mihira - This year Indigital was my favourite subject. It was awesome,fun and I learnt a lot!
Aanya- So far I'd say every Thursday/Friday I would always look forward to doing Indigital.
Moki-Indigital was a fun and an exciting project,everyone’s projects were amazing.
Ethen - In this year Indigital was very fun.it was amazing playing minecraft that I learned a
Lot for NPCS and the controls for the minecraft play
Lavinia- Inditigal was fun. We were making NPCs.we actually got our own laptops it was so much fun i love it
Liliana- We got our own laptops for indigital and i really enjoyed doing indigital and i wish we could start it all over again because it was so fun! I hope others enjoyed it as well.
Anupama- I liked Indigital, but it was really confusing. But in the end, I got the hang of it.
Inari-This year Indigital was actually so so fun with in doing our environment for the Grassland earless dragon and also adding our NPCs and the reason why we added NPCs was because people could click on them and look at all the facts about Grassland earless dragons!
Kavya- This year Indigital was really fun we got to learn about the Earless Dragon we got to do first a video of madang,a mind map,model with playdough,we tried to make the same model on tinkercad and then we started minecraft projects we first played then we started building a house for the ranger of the Earless Dragon, a cage for the Earless Dragon,NPC’s and we did a screen recording and then we finished our big special project at the end everyone in our class got a really special CERTIFICATE. Over all it was really good and fun.
Bhagath-indigital was very fun especially when we went to the zoo to see the earless dragon
Ehlawso-I really enjoyed indigital because we got to play Minecraft and i also learn a lot!
Shenon- I really love playing Minecraft and learning about the Earless Dragon. It was super fun.
Reuben - I really enjoyed indigital, I had a wonderful experience during our time with indigital because it was not only fun but really enjoyable.
Chase- I really enjoyed indigital, it was a good experience and there were a lot of NPCs you have to make 10 but it was so good, I’m happy we got to do this from Chase.
Arley- Indigital was very fun to do because we had to learn of the grassland earless dragon and we drew our earless dragon and played with dough and tinkercad and more to go in each level until minecraft and built our ENVIRONMENT! And screen recording for the earless dragon and at the really end we got our CERTIFICATE! It was very hard and we finished our PROJECT! /(^0^)/. I hope that we do one next year TOO! I had a wonderful EXPERIENCE! *
Emily- I loved learning about this endangered reptile called the grassland earless dragon, it was a wonderful experience.
Dezzy- Indigital was really fun. We learned about an endangered reptile and I had a fun time learning aboriginal language!
Adriel- Indigital was my favourite subject it was very fun we also got to play on minecraft for a bit but the fun part was learning about The Grassland Earless Dragon and it was a beautiful Experience.
Adriel- We would have Indigital Thursdays some times Friday's. I love the little reptile.
2025
We look forward to another great year of learning in 2025, with some amazing opportunities for both staff and students to further their knowledge and skills in a range of areas. Inquries next year will include health, media, digital technologies and biological science. Staff will be completing further learning on the teaching of phonics, spelling, reading, oral language and writing as well as fine tuning our approach to teaching mathematics.
