Class of 2024 Reflections

At the conclusion of 2024, two of our graduating students shared their thoughts about Pilgrim School:

By Aiden

Pilgrim School is a place where I feel like I belong. When I wake up every morning I look forward to going to school because it is a safe environment where everyone encourages you and inspires you to be the best you that you can be. Pilgrim means so much to me because of all the devotions and assemblies that we do every week, and I am so glad that I have had so many students and teachers teach me about being a Christian, and helping me grow in my faith everyday. And I’m sure that I will carry these things on with me throughout my time in high school, University and the rest of my life.

Pilgrim has meant so much to me over the years. To me, it is a place for learning, fun and faith. I will cherish my time here. There are so many amazing characteristics about Pilgrim, like all the support I’ve received, and the amazing and caring teachers. I have made so many friends and memories. Pilgrim is one of my favourite places to be and I have loved my time here.

NAPLAN Nationally Coordinated Practice Test

On Tuesday 25th February, Pilgrim School will be participating in the Naplan Coordinated Practice Test (CPT) for Year 3 and 5 students. This is a requirement for all schools running NAPLAN, which takes place in Weeks 7 and 8 (13th - 27th March). The purpose of the CPT is to test the systems used to run NAPLAN and how our own IT infrastructure will manage the demand. Student results are not reported. It is also a good opportunity for students to become more familiar with the online platform. The test contains a mixture of reading, conventions of language and numeracy questions and will take 45 minutes.

Oliphant Science Awards 2025

Registrations are now open for the 2025 Oliphant Science Awards! Mr Harris coordinates this competition, and will be collecting the names of interested students from across the school and sending home the registration forms and information about this event to families in the next couple of weeks.  If you would like to find out more about the competition, please visit:

Please read and discuss this with your child to ensure you are all comfortable with what is involved and how to ask for support along the way.

Pilgrim Choir Years 3 - 6

Pilgrim Choir is back for 2025! Now in its third year, Pilgrim Choir is open to all interested students from Years 3 - 6. After a wonderful year last year competing in the Adelaide Choral Eisteddfod and performing both for school events such as the musical and the Christmas Celebration and in the wider community at local nursing homes, Seeds Church and the Hub Shops, we look forward to once again singing both in the school and in the wider community. This year we are excited to welcome back an old scholar, Josh Tretheway, as our accompanist. Josh is now studying Classical Music at Elder Conservatorium (University of Adelaide) and is looking forward to using his musical gifts to support the Choir.

This week all students in Years 3 and 4, and interested students in Years 5 and 6, had the opportunitty to come and experience singing in the Choir. The next two weeks will continue to be 'come and try' sessions, after which students will be asked to make a commitment to the Choir. We look forward to another wonderful year of singing.
