Playground Improvements
We are excited to share that we have installed new shade sails over the Junior Primary playground during the school holidays. The new shade looks great and is much larger than before, now covering the entire playground instead of just the sandpit. This will provide better sun protection for our students as they play and enjoy outdoor activities.

Enhancing Wellbeing at Pilgrim School
At Pilgrim School we are committed to the wellbeing of each of our students. This year, Carol Harry, Brett Middleton, and Lola, our Wellbeing Dog, continue to provide wellbeing support to individuals, small groups, and classes across our school.
In 2025, we will be sharing additional wellbeing support through Emmaus Christian College. This collaboration will enable us to expand and enhance the care we provide for our students, families, and staff at Pilgrim. This will include:
- Counselling Support: Jordan Wheatcroft will be employed as our school counsellor, available on Wednesdays (starting Week 3). Jordan will also continue to teach the Year 3/4 class on Tuesdays while Andrew Harris delivers specialist Science lessons.
- Oversight: Tash King, from Emmaus, who oversees counsellors across Brooklyn Park and South Plympton, will also provide guidance and support to our Wellbeing Team at Pilgrim School.
- Chaplaincy Role: soon a chaplaincy position will be advertised, with the successful applicant working across two sites, Emmaus (South Plympton) and Pilgrim School.
- Welcome Adam Wood: Adam Wood, the Director of Faith Formation and Wellbeing at Emmaus, will be onsite at Pilgrim every Thursday to connect with our school community. Once our new chaplain is appointed, Adam will reduce his time on our site, but continue to provide valuable support in his role.
We are excited about these developments and the opportunity to further strengthen wellbeing support for the Pilgrim community.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to one of our team and ask.

Please remember to set up or update Qkr!
The School and Campus use the Qkr! app for many payments including Canteen orders, P&F payments etc. If you have not already done so, please follow these instructions to install the app on your phone. Existing parents will need to update their child's class in the app to enable efficient ordering this year.
