School Council Report

School Council held its last meeting for the year on 27 November 2024. A summary of discussion points are as follows:

• Contracts

There are 2 contracts with external providers that are reaching the end of their contract period – Cleaning and Cafeteria Services. School council agreed to extend the Cafeteria contract for another 12 month period. The Cleaning contract was scheduled to be tendered out. The process of advertising the tender has been completed to which we have had a good amount of interest expressed. A panel of school staff and School Council representatives has been formed to assess the tender applications over the coming weeks. 

• Policies

School Council were consulted on the following – Attendance, Dogs at School, Homework, Inclusion, Mobile Phone, Working with Children’s Clearance Check and Student Drivers Policies.

• Indicative Budget

School council reviewed and approved the indicative budget for 2025.

• BYOD – Computer Specifications
