P&F Update

Welcome back to all our wonderful families for 2025 and a special welcome to all the new families joining our beautiful school; we can’t wait to get to know you and for you to become a part of this special community.

The Holy Spirit Parents and Friends Committee is made up of parents just like you (and we are always looking for new members and currently a new Vice-President). We know how tricky it is to balance work, school, sport and other activities. We also know that cost of living pressure is hitting families hard. This year, we are aiming to continue to streamline and simplify the fundraising and social activities at Holy Spirit, to help ease the stress on families. We will give you as much notice as possible regarding upcoming events, to help balance your calendar and your wallet.

Here are some of the upcoming events and activities we have planned so far:

Zooper Dooper Fridays – Starts tomorrow!

Come and grab a Zooper Dooper icy pole from the stall on the front lawn every Friday (weather dependent) in Term 1 for only $1. (Cash only)

Second-hand uniform shop

The Second-hand uniform shop will run from 2.50pm-3.20pm on Friday 14th February & Friday 14th March in the P&F room (across from the church/hall at the end of the school car park; look for the building with the ramp access). Most items are only $2. We are also accepting donations of clean, pre-loved uniforms in wearable condition (no rips or stains). We no longer accept donations of grey or white items.

Term One Major Fundraiser – Billy G’s Cookie Dough

Thank you so much for supporting Holy Spirit, especially through fundraising. This term, we are running a Billy G’s Gourmet Cookie Dough fundraiser to raise money for new Chromebooks for the Senior school as well as various other contributions over the year.

Billy G’s Gourmet Cookie Dough is an exciting fundraiser, made by an Australian, family owned and operated business. There are ten (10) dough-licious flavours to choose from, including the most popular Choc Chunk and the new Cinnamon Donut Cookie Dough! You can also create your own cookie magic at home with our Golden Classic flavour by adding your own mix ins to your cookies when you bake them! There is even something for your special furry friends, with a cheese flavoured Doggie Dough! Billy G’s Gourmet Cookie Dough is exclusive to fundraising – so stock up!

Over the coming days information will be arriving in your children’s school bags! Online sales will start on Monday, 10th February and close Monday, 17th March.

So please keep an eye out.

Save the Date: Movie Night – Friday, 14th March

The Holy Spirit Movie Night is back for 2025! This much-loved event will be a chance for Students and their families to come together for a night of dancing, laughs, a movie and the treats to go along with it. (Ticket sales link will be available shortly)

Holy Spirit Helping Hands

The Holy Spirit Helping Hands group is made up of parents and carers who are able to volunteer for various jobs around the school. This might include helping distribute notices, selling icy poles, sorting the lost property or helping in the second-hand uniform shop. The time commitment can be as much or as little as you like and there are NO meetings to attend. If you are interested in joining Helping Hands, please send a message to Kathleen Di Rago on 0401 249 848 and she will add you to the group.

2025 Class Reps

Each year, we ask one or two parents from each class to volunteer as a Class Rep. The Class Rep is responsible for coordinating an opt-in online class group for parents, such as a WhatsApp group or Facebook group. The Class Rep may also coordinate birthday and end-of-year gifts for the teacher and LSO in their class. The time-commitment for this role is less than an hour per month and it can be shared between two people. It’s a great way to get to know other parents in your child’s class and most of the work can be done outside of business hours.
