2nd Night of Camp
We all bundled into the bathroom, chattering loudly. I opened my toothpaste. It smelled like grape Zappos-delish. We quietly snuck into our room to play a game of Murder in the Dark.Ā
My whole body shook and butterflies swarmed in my stomach.Ā
Everybody decided they like a good scare, so the murderer had to use scary voices and actions.Ā
Angelina was up first, the ancient door screeched loudly as she opened it.Ā
I shivered as the cold night air wrapped icy fingers around my body. "Hello pookies" she said in a doll like voice. We all screamed in terror as she slammed the door shut. Instantly the winds icy grasp slipped from my body and my attention turned to stowing myself away from view.Ā
I threw myself into the safety of my sleeping bag. Suddenly the cabin became eerily silent, you could hear a feather falling. It stayed that way for around 30 long seconds.
Finally screams burst out of the bunk in the top corner, as if they had been waiting centuries to come out. Then came laughter from all over the cabin.

Camp 2024
When the camp instructor called Luke and I up, I started to second guess myself because, people were giving up early on. When my sweaty palms gripped the ladder, I knew this would be a challenge. As I stepped on the to the ladder it immediately started to spin. Once I made it past the spinny ladders, it was onto the rope net. It was a lot easier, but still tricky. Luke gave up on the bottom of the net, I continued on to the tyres, where I remembered I could have a break which gave me more energy to make it through the last section. Finishing the vertical challenge was so fun and I would do it again.

Skate Boarding
We walked into the old tennis court where it had been reconstructed into a small skate park for skateboarding.Ā
We put on elbow pads, knee pads, wrist pads, and a helmet. First we were going back and forth across the court as fast as we could. Next, we did laps all around the ramps which was pretty tricky.Ā
After that was the fun bit, we started dropping down all the ramps. First we were all going down a little ramp but some people got to skip it, including me.
Next was the big ramps. We all went down the first two confidently, with me dropping down a quarter pipe which made me so stoked.
Lastly were the really big ones at the back, which made me a tiny bit scared but I still went down it.
In the end I had so much fun skating, and ended up skating more at home after camp.

Tug of War
"Red team, are you ready?!" Dan shouted. A huge cheer erupted from the opposing team
"Green team, are you ready?!" Dan yelled again. Another huge cheer erupted as loud as a lions roar, this time from our team.
"THREE! TWO! ONE!" Dan yelled. He took his foot off the rope and we pulled with all our might.
I felt my feet slipping on the damp, uneven sand. We were close to losing. "Dig your feet into the sand!" Yvie called to the whole team. I dug my feet into the sand, and surprisingly, it worked!! We slowly stopped sliding forwards.
"ONE, TWO, THREE, PULL!!!" Naushad yelled from the back. We tugged on the rope, arms straining. He called out the same thing again. We pulled once again. Slowly, the knot got pulled over to our side. We won!
After our victory, we versed Blue team. We used the same strategy, digging our feet into the sand. After a short but painful struggle, the knot sailed over to our side! We jumped around, cheering, but I had the biggest rope burn ever.
All the girls were bouncing around like they were on a trampoline and the boys were cheering as loud as someone yelling through a megaphone. Elation flooded through me, because we all knew that we had won.
