Middle Gully
WOMINJEKA!
The beautiful word for "Welcome" in Dja Dja Wurrung and Wurrundjeri language is now a feature of our Middle Gully Reserve; thanks to the incredibly hard work of our grade two, three and four students.
Over nine weeks we sanded and undercoated and painted and dug and picked and raked and filled and stomped and swept, until the job was done.
I am so proud of your amazingly dedicated students for the grit they showed to get it done. I'm also thrilled to see the dedication they have to cultural sensitivity and respect for Indigenous culture and history in this beautiful place we call home.
The photos this week are only a very small selection from the many weeks of hard work. We are all very proud to have created this important art installation before our one hundred and fiftieth birthday celebrations in 2025.
WELL DONE KIDS!!!!!
