Dear Parents and Friends,
Renovation Project
There is much excitement this week regarding our renovation project. The carpet has been laid, the painter is in and the joinery is due to go in later in the week. Following next week's site meeting I will have more details regarding a completion date. I hope to share a finishing date soon!
Late last week I received confirmation from Catholic Education Sandhurst that work to remove the materials in the office/ admin area will be completed during the September school holidays. Our temporary office will remain in place until early term 4.
Feast Day of Mary MacKillop
As you are aware, tomorrow we will be celebrating the Feast Day of Mary MacKillop. We invite any family or friends to join us at mass tomorrow morning at 9:00 am.
Semester 1 School Climate Survey
Recently we have had our Semester 1 School Climate Survey open. As a whole staff and at leadership team meetings we use these surveys to look at common themes with what we are doing well and areas for improvement that we may be able to implement. Individual responses, that may not come up in common themes, are also considered and actioned/ identified as areas for growth, where possible.
Due to a very low number of responses, we are unable to collate common themes from our Semester 1 survey. I welcome any parents who responded and would like to discuss anything raised further to please make a time to see me.
Wellbeing Activities
This term our Foundation- Year 3 students are participating in wellbeing activities with a focus on building on early connections to nature and local places, strengthening resilience and belonging to the community and fostering pro-environmental values. This program encourages students to connect with and learn about and for nature through place-based, inquiry learning.
Thank you to Catherine Bijker (Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader) for organising these activities with staff from Catholic Education Sandhurst and Parks Victoria.
