Wellbeing

 Wellbeing Focus: Stress Management

For Term 3, our well-being lessons and focus centres on equipping our children with essential skills in stress management, understanding differences, and implementing effective calming strategies.

Stress Management: Throughout the term, children will learn valuable techniques to recognize and manage stress effectively. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the triggers of stress, developing resilience, and implementing practical strategies to promote mental and emotional well-being.

Understanding Differences: Our curriculum will also focus on fostering empathy and understanding of differences among individuals. Our children will engage in discussions and activities that promote respect for diversity, inclusivity, and the importance of empathy in creating a supportive community.

Calming Strategies: We will explore various calming techniques designed to reduce stress and anxiety. These strategies may include mindfulness exercises, deep breathing techniques, and other relaxation methods that promote a sense of calm and inner peace.

Our approach to teaching Wellbeing will be holistic and student-centred, encouraging active participation and reflection. Teachers will integrate these concepts into daily routines and dedicated Wellbeing sessions to ensure continuous support and reinforcement of positive mental health practices.

By the end of Term 3, our aim is for all children to have developed a deeper awareness of stress management techniques, a greater appreciation for diversity and differences, and a toolkit of effective calming strategies that they can utilize both in and out of school.

We are committed to nurturing a positive and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued, understood, and equipped to navigate life's challenges with resilience and confidence.
