Year Three and Four - Times Tables Licences

Automatic recall of times tables is pivotal for students as they progress onto more complex Maths concepts. To motivate students to memorise their tables we have introduced Times Tables Licences to the middle school.  To achieve their Level Three licence students must master the 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x tables. Once this has been obtained students move on to their Level 4 licence, where 11x, 4x, 8x, 6x, 7x, 9x and 12x tables must be memorised.

Licences will be presented to successful students each week at assembly. Once a student has their licence they are eligible to participate in our Friday afternoon sudden knockout times table challenge. Great prizes are on offer for the last student standing.  Parents, it would be fantastic if you could assist your child in their efforts to gain their licences, by helping them to choose times tables set to focus on and then testing them regularly.
