Prep

In Term Three, Prep students will dive into an exciting array of activities focusing on both little athletics and striking skills. Our young athletes will engage in learning Little Athletics events with modified versions of javelin, shot put, and discus. These activities are designed to introduce the fundamental skills and techniques of these events in a safe and age-appropriate manner. Through these activities, students will enhance their coordination, strength, and understanding of these classic track and field events. Following our athletics unit, we will transition into a striking unit. Students will learn and practice one-handed and two-handed striking techniques. These activities aim to improve their hand-eye coordination, timing, and spatial awareness. Whether it's using a bat, racquet, or their hands, students will have fun while developing these essential skills. We look forward to a dynamic and engaging term where our Prep students will not only build on their physical abilities but also gain confidence in their athletic skills.
