Wellbeing

Dimi

This week at Pascoe Vale North PS we have had a whole school, week focus on MINDFULNESS.

Mindfulness is a powerful tool we’ve been integrating into our school community to help students manage stress, improve focus and cultivate a sense of calm. By practising mindfulness, students learn to stay present, build emotional resilience and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. Whether through breathing exercises, mindful movement or simply paying attention to the present moment, these practices support our students' overall wellbeing and enhance their ability to thrive both academically and personally.

Did you know …

We spend 49% of our waking hours thinking about something other than what we’re doing!

Regular mindfulness practice can improve our:

  • Immune system.
  • Energy levels.
  • Sleep quality.
  • Awareness.
  • Memory.
  • Productivity.

Why don’t you give it a go? Find a mindfulness activity that suits you and that you enjoy, everyone is different. Below are some suggestions:

  • Listening to music.
  • Exercise (eg: walking).
  • Colouring.
  • Puzzles.
  • Meditation.
  • Yoga.
