The Apple Story.

The apple story is a folk tale retold orally about the special gift that hides inside an apple. When cut from vertically a STAR appears made from the seeds of the apple. Grade 1’s interpretation of their own apples. We then shared the gift of the apple star with the classes.

Indigenous drawing by Grades 2's based on an Alphabet book illustrating Australian animals with their Indigenous name and Austrian name.  Y is for Yellow Belly / Gagalin. K for Kangaroo/ Wambuwuny. O for Owl/Ngugug. P for Possum/Wilay. M for Maliyan/ Eagle. I for Insect/Budyabudya the butterfly.

My House. The Preps used crafting paper to make their houses, using the different textures and patterns they created beautiful pictures.

Grade 6 Skateboards

Yes!  It's that time again and the Grade 6s are working hard to finish their skateboards. Using chrome books and lots of inspiration the 6's are designing skateboards that even our Aussie GOLD Olympian's Keegan Palmer and Arisa Trew would be in awe of. 

Grade 5's are working diligently on their T Shirt designs. many a discussion has been had as to which is the best football team logo to put on them.

Catapult Collaboration STEM & VISUAL ARTS

A catapult is a medieval siege weapon used to hurl projectiles. In Grade 3 /4 's these projectile objects consisted of polystyrene balls covered in paint.  They are supposed to operate on the principles of tension, torsion, or counterweight, releasing stored energy to launch the projectile. The pictures below determined the success rate. And an ART Piece.

Amelia Ellicott's Garden, a story of community and coming together as one in a beautiful garden for everyone of different nationalities to share. Preps.

 

The Cow Tripped Over the Moon Preps. The classic nursery rhyme with a twist. Paper plates representing the Moon with Cows and Stars. The Preps made this in Art and at the end of the end lesson they started wearing them as hats.
