Leongatha Primary School Shines at District Swimming Championships!
Leongatha Primary School (LPS) continues to demonstrate excellence in sports, and this year's District Swimming Carnival was no exception. Our school proudly competed with 36 enthusiastic and talented swimmers, all striving for their personal bests while representing our school with determination and spirit.
A special congratulations goes out to Lennox Morehouse, who took out the title of 11 Boys Age Champion, and Jaz Cox, who was crowned 11 Girls Age Champion. Their hard work, focus, and dedication in the pool were truly outstanding. Their achievements not only reflect their individual talent but also inspire our entire school community to aim high and keep pushing toward greatness.
Thanks to the collective effort of all 36 swimmers, Leongatha Primary School successfully retained the District Shield, a remarkable achievement that highlights the ongoing strength and spirit of our school’s swimming program. The energy and camaraderie displayed by each swimmer made this event a memorable one.
Looking ahead, the next challenge awaits: this Friday, LPS will compete at the Division Swimming Carnival at the Korumburra Pool, where our athletes will face off against schools from across South Gippsland. We’re excited to see what our swimmers can achieve at this next level and are confident they’ll give it their all.
A big thank you to our coaches, parents, and supporters for helping make this event a success. We couldn’t be prouder of our students and their incredible achievements. Let’s keep the Leongatha spirit strong as we cheer on our swimmers at Korumburra this week.
Go LPS! 🏊♂️🏆🎉
