NAIDOC Week 2026 | 50 Years Deadly (5–12 July)
The NAIDOC Week 2026 theme has been announced — 50 Years Deadly, celebrating five decades of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander strength, culture and achievement. The word deadly might stop some of us in our tracks at first. I remember volunteering at Our Survival Day and being told “deadly”! My first instinct was to wonder, “deadly… as in dangerous?” In Aboriginal English, deadly is a powerful expression of pride and praise, meaning excellent, impressive, strong or admired. This year’s theme invites us to celebrate what is truly deadly: resilience, community, culture and survival.
Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Approved
We are proud to share that our school’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has been officially approved through Reconciliation Australia’s Narragunnawalli. Our RAP is published each year and reviewed annually, ensuring our actions, learning and commitments to embedding First Nations perspectives remain current and meaningful.
Thank you to all staff, students and community members who have contributed to this important work. Reconciliation is a shared journey, and we are excited to continue walking it together.
