ABORIGINAL EDUCATION COMMITTEE

AECG Meeting

On Thursday, 26 October 2023 Oak Flats Public School hosted the Juborsay Aboriginal Education Consultative Group meeting. During this meeting, six of our Aboriginal Student Leadership Group student representatives presented a showcase of Aboriginal Education at our school. These leaders did an outstanding job of speaking to a room filled with over 80 school educators, Principals, and Directors! It was truly inspirational to see each of them speak with confidence and pride (and a joke or two thrown in!). Congratulations to Alirah C, Aliah G, Elaine S, Eli S, Hunter S and Sienna F and a special thank you to Miss Hamilton who worked with our students in the lead up to the event.

Aboriginal Education Committee Parent Meeting

We warmly invite parents, carers and families to attend our final Aboriginal Education Meeting for 2023 on Wednesday, 22 November at 4.15pm in the Mudjingaal Room. All are welcome to attend. We are looking forward to discussing and reviewing our achievements this year and future directions for Aboriginal Education at Oak Flats Public School in 2024. 

We look forward to continuing to strengthen our partnership by working together.
