If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF.

The allowance will be paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions, or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

The annual CSEF amount per student will be:

Knights of the Southern Cross Bursary Recipient

On Monday the 4th the Northern Peninsula branch of the Knights of the Southern Cross held their annual dinner to present several scholarships to Grade 6 students from Catholic schools on the Peninsula and Frankston, including a student from St Augustine's.

Staff were given the criteria to choose a candidate from St Augustine's. The candidate had to be enrolled to attend a Catholic Secondary school, and had to demonstrate initiative, responsibility, compassion, faith, community service, great work ethics, social justice and a raft of other great qualities.

This year’s winner is Ava McAnaearney.

Ava demonstrates a Catholic approach to her school life, particularly in her role as our 2023 School Captain.

She is a compassionate leader and is always willing to help those in need.

She also understands the importance of being an ‘advocate’ and standing up for others.

Ava is committed to her learning and strives to achieve growth in all areas.

She displays good manners at all times and is respected by her peers and her teachers.

We have great confidence that Ava will continue to demonstrate and inspire this kind of Catholic attitude as she progresses to high school next year.

Congratulations Ava on being selected to receive this award!

Long Absences & Late Arrivals

Just a friendly reminder to please advise the school of student absences at your earliest convenience, either via email or the absence line. When leaving a message on the absence line, please include your name, the student's name, and classroom, along with the reason for the absence.

If your student arrives at school after the music has stopped playing, they will need to sign in at the office. We are happy to assist you and your children at the office with this.

This prevents us from sending you a clarification text. If you have a senior student please remind them they must come via the office to let us know they have arrived at school.

Extended absences for example holidays during term time need to be communicated with our principal, Mrs Carrie Rodda. Please email her directly: principal@safranksth.catholic.edu.au
