Farewell to our Sensational Sixers - 6A 2023

As our Grade 6 class of 2023 prepares for their graduation and departure from Primary School, they expressed how they feel about leaving Mackellar. On behalf of their teachers from Foundation onwards, we feel privileged to have contributed to their lives and proud of their accomplishments and the young people they have become. We wish them every success for Year 7 and beyond.

I’m grateful for the years of education and the friends and teachers I’ve met at Mackellar.  I will treasure these memories and I hope to have the same experience at High School as I’ve had with Mackellar.  Travon 6A

Reflecting on the past seven years fills my heart with gratitude for the invaluable memories you’ve bestowed upon me.  The friendships forged within your walls are more than treasures, they’re a part of who I am.  As I prepare to leave, I realise this farewell will be the most difficult, for Mackellar has been my home of growth and joy.  Thank you for everything, I’ll carry your spirit with me always. Lucas 6A

I am grateful for the opportunities Mackellar has given me.  From being a House Captain to being in the Victorian High Ability Program, these are all achievements I can use when I am older.  I will never forget my time here, farewell Mackellar Primary School.  Isabella 6A

Mackellar Primary School has been an amazing experience for me to make new friends and great memories. I have enjoyed my time here at Mackellar, but now I am moving onto High School and ‘time has come for letting go.’  Anna 6A

Mackellar Primary School will always hold a special place in my heart as it provided me with opportunities to make a lot of friends and to create cherished memories.  I had a great time at this amazing Primary School. Lazar 6A

I had a wonderful time the past seven years and being Red House Captain this year was one of them. I’ve made memories that I won’t forget and I had fun with friends.  I wish I could stay longer but it’s time to move on to a new chapter.   Evan 6A

Farewell Mackellar Primary School, it was fun while it lasted and I learnt so much in the time I was here.  I enjoyed the opportunities I was given to learn about what life can provide to us. Thank you Mackellar for pushing me to my full potential.  You have a large spot in my heart.  Youi 6A

To Mackellar Primary School, this year was fun.  I’m sad to leave.  I’ve learned a lot in Primary School and I will miss my friends so much.  It will be very hard next year.  It’s hard to say good bye from the best years of my life.  I will remember you all in my heart.  Emily H 6A 

Throughout my time at Mackellar I have shared countless memories and laughter and I have grown.  From the first day at school where I was wide and eager to overcome challenges in my learning I am grateful for the privilege. Thank you Year 6 teachers for an incredible journey.  I am excited about the years to come.  Mleat 6A
