Valedictory Dinner 2023

Tonight, students and families of the graduating Class of 2023 will gather for their Valedictory Dinner. It is a time of immense pride and gratitude for Good News Lutheran College as we have been blessed with the opportunity to nurture and educate these fine young people.

I would like to acknowledge the unwavering support of the parents, guardians, and families who have played a vital role in the journey of our graduates. Your love, guidance, and encouragement have been instrumental in their success. On behalf of the students, I thank you for your care and on behalf of the College, I thank you for putting your trust in us to be the heart of their educational journey.

As we reflect on the journey of the Class of 2023, I am reminded of a profound quote by Winston Churchill: "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts." These words encapsulate the essence of your time at Good News Lutheran College. Success is not the end of your journey, but rather a milestone along the way. So, have the courage to continue, strive for even greater heights, and never stop pursuing your dreams. Failure, too, is not the end. It is but a stepping stone on the path to success. Each setback is an opportunity to learn, grow, and become stronger. Do not fear failure, for it is through adversity that we discover our true strength and resilience.

In Joshua 1:9 we find words of encouragement and strength: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." With faith, courage, and the support of those who believe in you, you can overcome any obstacle. Enjoy the celebration tonight!
